Upgrading a Steam account into a ChilloutVR account

If you decide to create content or groups, you will need to have a ChilloutVR account. Luckily, the process is quite simple!

  1. Go to the hub and click the button Sign in with Steam
  2. It will ask you if you want to sign-in using your steam account
  3. You will then be prompted to migrate you account by providing:
    • Email
    • Password
  4. Then you should receive an email to validate your account
  5. After following the instructions in the email your account should be now a full account

You can now use either the steam button, or your picked credentials to login. And also have full access to the Hub, which allows getting your CCK key to upload content, update your profile picture, request username change, etc.

Merging existing Steam account with an existing CVR account

Ideally this would never happen. If you want to associate your steam to your CVR Account, you should go to the Hub and link to your steam in your account setting.

If you have a Steam account, and you want to upgrade it to a full CVR account, you should follow Upgrading a Steam account into a ChilloutVR account

If you find yourself not being able to link your Steam Account because you created a Steam Account while already having a CVR Account you will need to contact us via email to fix this. The contact email is [email protected]. Keep in mind this might take a while to be processed since it's a manual procedure.
